Political Administration in collaboration with Health Department of Mohmand Agency provided Leishmania (Leishmaniasis) vaccines to Government Hospitals

GHALANAI, April 13: Today Political Administration in collaboration with Health Department of Mohmand Agency provided Leishmania (Leishmaniasis) vaccines to Government Hospitals/BHUs in Tehsil Safi as well as different health facilities in Lower Sub-Division here on Friday.

It will be mentioned here that some days ago a few cases of Lashmenia disease surfaces in different areas of Mohmand agency due to which dozen of children were seriously affected as Lashmenia broke out in the remote areas of tehsil Safi.

While last night a screen shot of Lashmenia victims (two children) were shared with the political administration on which the Political Agent Mohmand agency Muhammad Wasif Saeed took serious action and the issue of vaccines provision was taken up with Directorate of Health Services FATA and WHO officials as same vaccines are not available in open market and in the agency hospitals.

Political Agent Mohmand agency directed the Assistant Political Agent Upper Mohmand to make arrangements of emergency basis of vaccines availability.

APA Upper Mohmand Tariq Ullah and Agency Surgeon Mohmand agency took up the issue with Directorate of Health and Services FATA and the same vaccines were received today from health directorate which were provided to the Agency Headquarters Hospitals Ghalanai, Rural Health Center Ekkaghound, BHU Navay Kallay Tehsil Prang Ghar and BHU Lakaro tehsil Safi respectively.
