Plant for Pakistan plant for Mohmand campaign launched in Mohmand.

Plant for Pakistan Plant for Mohmand Campaign inaugurated in the headquarters Ghalanai District Mohmand here on Sunday where Deputy Commissioner Wasif Saeed along with students, teachers, PRCS Volunteers, forest departments, education and levy forces planted plants.

Assistant Commissioner Lower Mohmand Touseef Khalid told that the plantation campaign will be continued from 2nd September to 4^th September, 2018.

“A total of 106,000 plants will be planted all across the tribal district” said Khalid.

 Assistant Commissioner Lower Sub-Division Touseef Khalid inaugurates the campaign in Govt. Degree College Ekkaghund, Assistant Commissioner Upper Tariq Ullah campaign in Ghalanai Park and Assistant Commissioner Baizai in Khapakh. 

On first day the campaign includes plantation in all Govt. facilities, educational & health institutes while Block / Community plantation will be made in Tehsil Prang Ghar, Pandiali of Lower Mohmand and Baizai and Khwezai, Baizai Sub-Division on 3rd September.

 Plant Mohmand Campaign is part of plant Pakistan campaign initiated by Government of Pakistan. 

Deputy Commissioner Wasif Saeed said that trees play a key role in the environment of the area.

He appealed to the local elders and Ulema to help the government and Forest Department in discouraging illegal cutting of trees in the area.

DC said that 1, 06000 various plants would be planted by in the Mohmand tribal district under the plant for Pakistan program.

He said that there are forest on the area of 8% in the agency, and we have prepared a constructive plan of thousands Acres land for more plantation for the area.
