GHALANAI, July 25: A series Two days basic First Aid trainings for the local communities of Ambar and Pandiali tehsils organized by with joint collaboration of PRC/HUJR and World Food Programme concluded here at Pakistan Red Crescent Mohmand Agency Office at Ekkaghund  here on Tuesday .
A total numbers of 60 participants from Pandaili and Ambar tehsils received the basic training.
On the occasion representative of Directorate Of Project Fata Secretariat Peshawar Sajjad Khan, HUJRA Deputy Project Manager Ismail Khan and Agency Coordinator HUJRA 
Sajid Ali Khan were also present.
The course was conducted by First Aid Trainer Muhammad Tariq of the Pakistan Red Crescent Mohmand Agency, who also introduced PRC, the subject of first-aid, treating wounds and bleeding, dealing with burns and respiratory emergencies.
 “The aim of the training was to enhance the knowledge, practice and techniques of First Aid amongst the participants for helping them to respond efficiently in any kind of conflict and/or emergency” said Tariq.
The First Aid training was designed in a way that the participants can recognize and understand the importance and the key components of First Aid with special emphasis on causality handling, evacuation, transportation in community basis he added.
On the occasion he advised the local’s tribesmen to adopt basic first-aid methods prescribed by the Pakistan Red Crescent while treating emergency cases.
Muhammad Tariq said that the efforts of the Red Crescent to train target groups of youth/Girls for voluntary work so that the Pakistan Red Crescent was able to attain their objective of providing “one first-aider in every home”.
Agency Secretary PRC Mohmand Agency Fauzee Khan Mohmand said that PRC core areas of works included Disaster Management, Relief work during and after disasters (Natural or manmade), health & Care, Promotion of Humanitarian values and Organizational Development.

He said that PRC Mohmand Agency has distributed 1000 food packages including 4000 blankets in the flood affected peoples in 2011 in the area.

“PRC trained more than 500 Levies/Khassadars and 400 community peoples in all over the agency” said Khan.

He added that now they have decided to starts First aid trainings to community level in the area so that to create a first aider in each home.

Agency Coordinator HUJRA Organization Sajid Ali Khan on the occasion said that PRC is national society and played a vital role in any disaster occurs in the area.
He said that they have signed a MoU with PRC FATA which will train all their Village Disaster Management Committees members in the area.
He appreciated the roles of the PRC Mohmand Agency he said that they trained college staffs and as well as community peoples in the area.
 On the occasion Representative of Directorate of Projects FATA Secretariat Sajad Khan was the chief Guest Deputy Project Manager HUJRA Ismail Khan   was also present.
While talking on the occasion Sajad Khan emphasizes the importance of first Aid in our life and said that first aid is not a medical subject but this belongs to life saving technique before availing any medical service.
Sajad Khan also asked some questions from the training participants as a feedback and found the training success.
He hailed the activities of HUJRA and PRC in the area and encouraged the trainings participants that area taking keen interest in the First Aid training. 
He urged the participants to convey these messages to their families because this is very important training for every man kind which saves lives.
At the end of training Sajad Khan and others guests distributed certificates among the participants who have participated in the said training.
