GHALANAI, Mar 24: The 4th Yaum-e-Pakistan Sports & Cultural Festival 2018 closing ceremony held at Sports Stadium Ghalanai on the occasion Commissioner Peshawar Division Shahab Ali Shah was Chief Guest.
It will be mentioned here that In order to involve
the youth in healthy activities, the local administration with the help of FATA
Sports department 4th edition of Mohmand Sports festival was starts from
February 10, 2018 in the entire tribal region.
Political Agent Mahmood Aslam, Commandant Mohmand
Rifles Col. Irfan Ali, Director Sports Mohammad Nawaz, Additional Political
Agent Hamid-Ur-Rehman, Assistant Political Agent Upper Mohmand Tariq Ullah,
Assistant Political Agent Lower Mohmand Touseef Khalid Khan, Assistant
Political Agent Biazai Sher Alam Khan, Agency Sports Manager Saeed Akhtar,
tribal elders, players, media men and a large number of spectators were also
present.
In the sports stadium speech, PT Show by students,
National anthem, Gymnastics, Tug of War, songs and attan were presented.
Various departments have decorated their stalls in
the sports stadium the Chief Guest along with others officials inspected the
stalls.
Speaking on the occasion Commissioner Peshawar
Shahab Ali Shah and Political Agent Mahmood Aslam said that holding of such
activities is to convey a peace message to the rest of world and said that sports
were necessary for a healthy growth and every youth should take active part in
sports activities.
He said that now peace has been restored in the
tribal region through the sacrifices rendered by security forces and tribal
elders and development activities are continuing in full swing.
Shahab Ali urged the youth and tribal elders to
actively participates in the sports festival and motivate their youngsters.
He added that peace had been restored to the tribal
areas as a result of matchless sacrifices rendered by the personnel of law
enforcement agencies and tribe’s people.
He said that
the today’s event was evident to the fact that peace had been restored to
tribal areas.
The PA Mahmood Aslam said that the local
administration with support of agency Sports department would provide equal
opportunities to the tribal youth, tribal elders to enable them play their role
in the nation-building.
“Mohmand youth have the excellent ability and talented
right to be given the facilities and opportunities like any other youth of the
county,” he added.
Aslam said the Mohmand administration is committed
to provide and enhanced sports opportunities to the tribal youths to promote
healthy activities in the tribal region.
He added that after restoration of the peace the
administration was focusing on promotion of education in tribal areas.
During the commissioner visit security were beefed
up in the region checking were tightened in various entry points.
Main Peshawar Bajaur road and main Ghalanai Bazaar
was also close due to security reason in the area for some time.
