 In the wake of restoration of cellular networks in Mohmand agency a high priority meeting was scheduled in Ghalanai, the agency headquarters of Mohmand agency on Monday. The meeting was chaired by Political Agent Muhammad Wasif Saeed and Commandant Mohmand Rifles Colonel Muhammad Arfan , Assistant Political Agents of respective subdivision , the meeting was attended by regional heads of Jazz, warid , ufone , Telenor and zohng .

Political Agent thanked the mobile network heads for attending the meeting on such a short notice. He also congratulated the network providers on restoration of network coverage. Furthermore issues related to the network coverage restoration were discussed in detail. Security related issues and intricacies arising out of the restoration in Mohmand agency were discussed in detail by the Commandant Mohmand rifles Colonel Arfan. The network providers assured of complete cooperation and support.

PA Mohmand Agency Muhammad Wasif Saeed invited the attention of the Mobile company Regional heads to the regime of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Mohmand agency. In the letter written for the said meeting, he had asked the companies to share the various initiativesundertaken so far under the realm of CSR in Mohmand agency and to also present a 2 to 3 year medium term CSR work plan for his Agency. The Regional Heads stated that as of yet they were not contributing in the CSR stream in Mohmand agency but they committed that their Multinational Corporations will look into the possibility of contributing in the agency positively. He invited their attention to contributing at least 2 percent of their profits accruing out of Mohmand Agency as per International standards; if not more toward the betterment of the Inhabitants of the agency. The PA requested for assistance in welfare activities of the locals by focusing in education, health, water supply, irrigation, skill development co-curricular activities for the youth and students and other sectors.

The regional heads expressed an interest toward the proposal and assured that they will engage their respective head offices and CSR wings into contributing to the welfare of the people of Mohmand Agency in particular and FATA in general. At the end of the meeting the PA again thanked the participants with a parting note that the contribution of Mobile network Multi Nationals in FATA will herald the starting of this hitherto unnoticed and unexplored vista in FATA.
