GHALANAI, Sep 18: Right to Information (RTI) is a comprehensive a good law for getting information’s from public offices and only 20% journalists are utilizing this law in the KP province this was told by Rahim Ullah youzafzi in a dialogue between officials of line departments and journalists regarding (RTI) Right to Information organized by an organization “Inter News” here at agency headquarters Ghalanai on Monday.
It will be mentioned here that RTI act passed from KP assembly on Oct, 31 2013, presented to Governor on 4 Nov, 2013 and then published on 5Nov, 2013.
“RTI act also exist in Punjab while lacks in Sindh and Baluchistan provinces while the senate has passed RTI act on 22 august and then after signing the president it will be implemented to the FATA” said Yousafzai.
He urged the heads of line departments that they should shared the information’s regarding public interest with local journalists.
He informed that KP RTI Commissions received 10, 0135 applications for information’s regarding health and education departments out of which 6646 information’s were given and 3391 complaints were lodged.
He added that those line departments which would failed to give information’s within 20 days they would be fined Rs.25000.
Political Agent Mohmand agency Mahmood Aslam Wazir said that RTI act is a meaningful exercise and important for government officials as well as local journalists and for the welfare of general public.
He assured that we are ready to share the income, expenditures and developmental projects information’s with all the media men’s in personal capacity because RTI is not implemented in FATA.
He said that the local administration has already set up a complaint Cell at political agent office regarding corruption in mine leasers, developmental projects, CNICs, domicile certificates and local jirgas and directed special directives to all the concerned Assistant political agents to take strict actions if anyone found guilty in the same process.
The political agent recalled that he had written letters to all the concerned assistant political agents and directed him to take necessary measure to make the all the mine leases, developmental projects, and others activities creditable and transparent.
 He also directed all the line departments’ heads to ensure transparency at their level and nominate a focal person for each department and shares all the information’s with local’s journalists if they want. 
 Mahmood Aslam said that they have received 10 complaints till now and 2 cases were disposals.
 Angry patients blocked main Peshawar Bajaur road in front of agency headquarters Ghalanai.

The angry patients and their attendants and office bearers of various social welfare organizations and local residents of Ghalanai area staged protest demonstration and blocked the main Peshawar Bajaur road in front of Agency headquarters Ghalanai Bazaar here on Monday against the prolonged power outages and low voltage of electricity in the hospital.
The protesters were complaining that they are waiting for four hours for X-Rays and Laboratory tests which is impossible without smooth supply of electricity in the agency headquarters Ghalanai.
They were chanting slogans against the WAPDA, local administration and health department that they are failed to continue smooth supply to the hospitals due to which serious patients were facing problems.
