
GHALANAI, Feb 19: Workers of Pakistan
Tehreek-e-Insaf Mohmand Agency staged a protest demonstration against shifting
of Cadet college to Mamad Gat, suspension of mobile services and others issues
in front of Mohmand Press Club here at agency headquarters Ghalanai on Monday .
The protest was organized by PTI Mohmand Agency General
Secretary Sajjad Khan and others PTI workers Salman Khan and Mokhtaram Khan The
protesters were marched in the Ghalanai Bazaar and chanting slogans “ Transfer
of Cadet College is inappropriate” Restore Mobile Phone Services and smooth
supply of electricity in the area”.
Addressing on the occasion PTI Mohmand Agency
General Secretary Sajjad Khan and others told that shifting of cadet college
Ghazi Baig to Mamad Gat Safi tehsil is not acceptable because Cade College was
inaugurated in 2002 by Ex-Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah at Ghazi Baig which
is a suitable and accessible to all the mohmand tribesmen.
They said that the present location of Cadet College
Mamad Gat is not a feasible point and it is out of reach of the Mohmand
students.
About the ban of transportation of fertilizers in
the area they said that fertilizer per bag selling Rs.1300 in Shabqadar while
this was being selling in Rs. 2500.
They demanded that ban should be lifted on
transportation of fertilizers to the tribal region so that most of the area
farmers were unable to utilize in their fields.
They also
demanded of the local administration that they should release those who were
sent to lockup on petty issues.
PTI leader Sajjad Khan told that in this modern age
all the mobile phone services in
the tribal region still not restored after passing 11 months in the tribal
region causing worse effect on the tribesmen and business activities in the
tribal region.
They said that
after the mobile services suspension PTCL services were also badly affected and
locals were facing problems to contact their relatives and love ones aboard or
within country.
It will be
mentioned here that the authorities on March, 15 has suspended all mobile phone
services throughout the entire tribal agency without any notice and unknown
reason at once.
