Unscheduled load shedding and low voltage irks Mohmand tribesmen.

Unscheduled load shedding and low voltage is still continued in Mohmand Agency as summer season still starts in the area. 

Irregular and unscheduled power outage duration has increased to 22 hours continued in the area due to which people were facing shortage of drinking water as well as irrigation water in the area.

 Due to the low voltage and continues power outages in the area many electronics appliances freezer, water pump, AC , UPS, Stabilizers and tube wells are out of order.

 Mohmand Welfare Organization (MWO) president Haji Mir Afzal Mohmand told that the Ghalanai WAPDA SDO and senior line man gave free hand to the marble and steal factories owners’ and receiving monthly charges from factories.

He alleged that there are at least hundred of marble factories in the area in which marbles, steels and some others stones factories are included.

 He also told that every time electricity are available in these factories, but in our villages electricity available only for one hours with a low voltage.

There is no water for abolition even in the Mosques of agency headquarters Ghalanai and Main Mandi Bazaars’ and also in villages. 

A local resident told that the villagers are compel to buy drinking water from tanker who is carrying drink water from others areas which runs their water pumps on generators.

Daily load shedding are routine in different tehsils like Haleemzai, Safi, Khwezai, Baizai, Pandiali and Ambar areas of the Agency.

Tribesmen threatened that if load shedding was not ended till next week then they will storm on the grid station Ghalanai. 

In this regard Mohmand tribesmen have demanded of the KP Governor, PA Mohmand and Chief TESCO to resolve the problems, otherwise the people will compel on protest against the WAPDA officials.
