GHALANAI, Aug 14: The Independence Day
celebrations were marked with zeal and tight security at Ghalanai, headquarters
of Mohmand Agency. The Political Agent Mahmood Aslam Wazir, Mohmand RiflesLt.
Col. Umair, Additional Political Agent Hamid-Ur- Rehman,APA Ghalanai
Hameedullah Khattak, APA Naveed Akbar all heads of departments, tribal elders,
teacher’s students and a large number of peoples attended the programme.
Flag-hoisting
ceremonies were also held at the headquarters of the Mohmand Rifles and Agency
headquarters Ghalanai. Prayers were offered for the progress, solidarity and
prosperity of Pakistan and for the Levy martyrs in all the mosques of the
agency. Flag –hoisting ceremony was performed by Political Agent Mohmand Agency
Mahmood Aslam in the Political Agent office after the ceremony a colorful
program was also held at the Higher Secondary School Ghalanai.
Addressing the on the
occasion Mahmood Aslam told that we love our independent country because we got
it due to a lot of sacrifices rendered by our ancestors.
He said that we are the servants of masses and we
shall facilities the tribesmen at every level.
On the occasion tribal elders also spokes and
assured that they will safe guard their country along with forces side by side.
Tribesmen said that they have rendered sacrifices
for the independent of his country.
Jashni Azadai Mela was started from Auhgust 7 to 14
august in which Kabadai, Cricket, Volley Ball, foot ball,Karte, boxing and
Gymnastic .
In the function boys schools students presents Urdu,
Pashto, English speeches, tablos, Naats and national songs students were also
given away prizes and trophies.
At evening a
great fireworks conducted in the agency headquarters hospital Ghalanai in the
political agent office.
At the end of
function best appreciations certificates were distributed by Political agent
Mahmood Aslam Wazir among the officers, local administration staff and line
departments
