Cell set up at PA Office to address complaints about corruption.

GHALANAI, Aug 6: Political Agent Mahmood Aslam Wazir has set up a complaint Cell at political agent office regarding corruption in mine leasers, developmental projects, CNICs, domicile certificates and local jirgas and directed special directives to all the concerned Assistant political agents to take strict actions if anyone found guilty in the same process.

 The Political Agent, who was talking to the media after attending a meeting with the Assistant political agents and line departments at Ghalanai on Sunday, said that there would be no compromise on transparency and accuracy in the local administration.

The political agent recalled that he had written letters to all the concerned assistant political agents and directed him to take necessary measure to make the all the mine leases, developmental projects, and others activities creditable and transparent.

 He also directed all the line departments’ heads to ensure transparency at their level. 

 He asked tribesmen to freely express their problems being faced to them in the office of the political agent as well as in the offices of Assistant political agents’ offices during the issuance of NOCs/prospecting licenses.

According to an official statement the Complaint Cell at PA office is linked with two landline phone and fax number receiving public complaints daily from 8am to 10pm on 0924-290055.

Complaints would be addressed within a week everyone who complains submit their copy of CNICs with cell numbers.  

 He asked the tribesman that openly complains against any administration officials who are involved at any types of corruptions or they have delay their cases like domicile, CNICs and others such cases in the offices.

Political agent stresses upon the elders that any one prove that if one officials demands anything form tribesmen such as land or marble lease disputes the complaint person would be awarded 10 thousands prize.

“We are here for your service and correction and resolved all the disputes among tribesmen on justices and on merits “said Aslam. 

PA presented himself for accountability and said that first of all I am implemented from him then from my subordinates.

“Each and every tribe is respectable for me and I pledge that I will support the poor one instead of influential and rich one and there will be no injustice with anyone” Said Aslam.

Political Agent told that Marble supply are continues from 70% marble reservoirs of the area and members of tribal committee constituted for the resolutions of  marble disputes to stream line all the process .

He told that minerals production plays an important role in the economic development of the area and all the marble related disputes have been resolved through tribal elders’ jirgas in the area.

He said that stronger the economic status of the ultimately Annual Development Program (ADP) will be stronger.

PA said that Mohmand Agency has a rich quantity of Marble and others minerals and the local administration are trying to open all the minerals reservoirs in the area.

 “For the purpose to resolves all the marble related disputes we have formed tribesmen Mountain committee to promote marble exploration and trade in the agency “said Aslam”.

He told that we have 11 prospecting license ,6 mining lease in upper Mohmand,14 prospecting license,8 mining 8 in Lower Mohmand and 24 and 1 in the border area of Baizai sub-division in the Mohmand tribal region.

Political Agent said that now a days we have a total of 67 lease out of which 52 marbel,8 chromite,5 Nephrite and 2 Manganese in the area.

He said that he himself monitoring all the process through video to check the real lease contractors and tribesmen of the area also check all the things and also agreement with the relevant marble contractors in the area which will prevent illegal activities.

“Before it here Works continue on only 24 mines but now it reaches to 67 and we are trying to open all the marble reservoirs in the tribal region:”said Aslam

Mahmood Aslam Wazir told that we are trying our best to decrease the utilization of explosives in the marble mines during cutting of marble and use scientific method to not waste marble by blasting. 

He said that by increasing marble exploration and business the agency ADP will alternately increases.

PA said that for the promotion of marble and access to National and International markets new links roads would be constructed in the area.
