GHALANAI, Feb 22: Ours religion Islam has honored
women and they have played an important role in every filed in the world side
by side with men this was stated by Additional Political Agent Hamid-Ur-Rehman
while addressing on the inauguration ceremony of First Females sports Gala here
at Girls Degree College Ekkaghund organized by Sports& Cultural Department
FATA Secretariat with help of Agency Sports Office Mohmand agency here on Thursday.
The Ceremony was also attended by Assistant
Political Agent Lower Mohmand Touseef Khalid, Agency Education Officer Farid
Ullah, Principal Girls Degree College Ekkaghund Alia Mustafa, Agency Sports
Manager Saeed Akhtar, Principals, Headmistress, teachers, students and media
men.
On the occasion various females students of girls colleges and high schools presented
speeches on the topic” Role of youth in the restoration peace” sketches, PT
shows, organized various kinds of stalls, cultural shows like Pashtun,
Punjabai, Sindhi, Balochi, Chitrali, Thar, HUJRA and others games like Volleyball
etc.
Addressing on the occasion Additional Political
Agent Hamid-Ur-Rehman said that the local administration with the help of
Directorate of Sports FATA Secretariat have initiated the 4th
Edition of Mohmand Sports, Cultural & Youth Festival and for the first time
female players and seminaries students were given chance to participates in
this event.
He said that the female players from Government
Degree College Ekkaghund and various girls’ high schools of Mohmand Agency are
taking part in different sports & youth activities and such like activities
would be organized in other tehsils as well.
